G.R. Patil College Library
 

Students have access to a lending library, reference library, paperback library, non-print media library and a vast treasure of journals, current and back volumes. The main College library has a vast collection of over 1,20,000 volumes, some of which date back to the 16th century. The library staff, led by Librarian. Their motto is, "Books are for use, they are not untouchable". There are plush sofas for students to relax and read. A pleasant, inviting area, the library at G.R. Patil College is a garden of knowledge.

The Library is central and common to all the academic activities of the College. It provides a place to study, material for study and services to assist study.

With a computerised database of books in the Library, the search and retrieval of books is much easier. It is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The Library is housed in two places, physically seperated. The Reference Library is on top of the College Hall and is a heritage structure with its beautiful ceiling, intricate design and carved wooden furniture. It is partitioned to create The Honours Room.

The books, Journals and magazines of our library are used by staff and students. The library has a collection of 73277 books till 31 January 2011.
